No, unfortunately this is not possible, Easy Mobile Connect only works if your company makes calls to the public network via Teams. This is a requirement from Microsoft.

Easy Mobile Connect uses the Teams SIP gateway to become a second phone device for your Teams account. You pair it via our Teams app and your Microsoft account.

After your eSIM has been created, you scan a QR code with your cell phone and the eSIM is installed.

An E-SIM is purchased for 1 year at a time and can be canceled in writing with 30 days' notice. Deactivation is possible at any time, but costs will still be incurred.

Users who answer calls with our solution benefit from the same call functions as a normal Teams Phone user on a call.

  • Teams call group

  • Answering of calls by agents in a call queue

*requires that Compliance Call Recording is implemented in the tenant and the user policy is enforced Since the Teams app does not need to be installed on the mobile device, the "Presence" based call feature is not available when using only Easy Mobile Connect without the Teams app as a companion.

If you have activated Easy Mobile Connect and the Teams app on the same phone, the phone will ring twice.

  • As a data call from Teams in the Teams app

  • As a native GSM call to the dialer of the mobile device

You can choose where you want to answer from. If you do not want this behavior, you can deactivate the notifications in the Teams mobile app.
